Our a much loved Pysanky Workshop is a great way to spend Sunday afternoon and create an unusual Easter gift - Pysanka.
Pysanky craft is an ancient Ukrainian tradition of egg decorating - literally 'egg writing’ by using a special tool, pysachok through applying wax and multiple layers of dye.
At our workshop, you will learn to decorate your own Pysanka - you will be introduced to sacred techniques as well as you will find out about the meaning of patterns, colour and origin of Pysanka.
But primarily, Pysanky is your personal messages, therefore whether you choose to create your own design or follow the sacred pattern that has been passed down from generation to generation is always up to you.
Things you need to know:
All materials are provided;
It normally takes 1,5h to create your first Pysanka;
You can create unlimited number of Pysanka;
Tutors will be around to assist you;
Suitable for children over 6 y.o.
