British Blues is a strange and unforgiving beast. It rips the heart out of Mississippi and Chicago, out of Louisiana and New York, and throws back into the world greats like John Mayall or Eric Clapton, Peter Green or Jeff Beck; musicians who have changed everything. And now it has thrown back someone new: Eddie Angel. With the anger of Albert King and the lyricism of BB, the swing of Count Basie or the yearning of early Clapton, Eddie Angel has become one of the UK’s finest contemporary blues musicians. Born and raised in London, Eddie dropped out of Art school at 21 to teach himself to play, drawing his inspiration from all of the electric blues masters. His ability to improvise with fierce passion, formidable tone and liquid phrasing has made him one of the most recognised blues greats on the UK scene.
