Hatherleigh Carnival presents – Mad Dog Mcrea!
Having performed at dozens of festivals – including Glastonbury, Boomtown, Beautiful Days and Bearded Theory – Mad Dog have become synonymous with excellent musicianship and a damn good party.
‘Mad Dog Mcrea blend a unique mixture of folk rock, pop, gypsy jazz, bluegrass and ‘shake your ass’ music. From self-penned songs of adventure, drinking, love and life, to traditional songs of gypsies, fairies, legless pirates and black flies – Mad Dog never fail to capture their audience with their infectious songs.’
Doors open at 6:30pm, and music starts at 7pm.
Our lineup includes music from 3-piece folk collective, The Dilly Boys. Based in Exeter, the group take their inspiration from traditional folk music from around the globe, with influences of cabaret and blues. The Dilly Boys have earned a reputation for lively, raucous gigs, so bring your dancing shoes!
Second on our lineup are Cracknakeel, a South Devon based folk band that wowed the audience at The Wurzels last year. This group of folk rockers plays a mix of traditional British and American folk music, with a distinct flavor of the West Country. Be prepared for a full dance floor and some brilliant music you just can’t help but move to.
Bar and BBQ available.
